Sometimes the most productive work happens organically. You discover the right combination of research, context, analysis, and creativity that produces exactly what you need. But then you face two challenges: doing it all over again next week, and explaining the process to three different team members who need something similar.

We launched Playbooks with WRITER Agent in November to solve that very challenge. Playbooks are reusable workflows for your most common tasks, saving time and ensuring consistency. And now we’ve enhanced them, making it easier than ever to turn breakthroughs into workflows anyone on your team can run.

Automating complex processes used to require technical expertise — whether it’s writing code or mastering a drag-and-drop workflow tool. Now, anyone can build something powerful in natural language. Just describe what you want to accomplish, like “Create a competitive positioning brief for a new product launch” or “generate  a weekly performance digest from our campaign data,” and WRITER Agent transforms it into a complete, functional playbook – one that can pull from specific knowledge sources, executes across your data tools, writes in the right brand voice, and more.

And with our new Playbook Showcase, we’ve created a library of pre-built templates for common marketing and sales use cases. Think competitive positioning briefs, industry news digests, derivative content creation, and more. These proven templates give you an editable starting point, so you can see what’s possible and customize for your specific needs.

  • Turn winning sessions into instant Playbooks: With one click, you can now transform any successful session into a playbook. WRITER Agent captures everything you did and packages it into a template that allows for the necessary variations each time you run it.
  • Share Playbooks across your organization: The best workflows shouldn’t stay trapped in one person’s sessions. Now, a campaign manager can share their research playbook with the whole demand gen team, a sales leader can share their account prep playbook with all BDRs, and productivity gains compound across the team.
  • Iterate on Playbooks with version control: You’ve published your first version, but now you want to make changes. Any updates will exist in a new draft, so you can iterate while maintaining the production version. Made changes to a playbook that you’re not happy with? Simply go back to a  previous version.

Even the most powerful agent needs context. Projects give you a way to organize WRITER Agent sessions around specific workstreams like product launches, account strategies, and campaign planning. They maintain custom instructions, files, and voice settings that ensure consistent outputs every time, without the need to manually prompt or add context for each session.

Like Playbooks, Projects are shareable. When someone picks up a product launch project, they don’t need the owner to re-explain the target audience, the positioning, or the brand guidelines. It’s all there, ready to inform every new session within that project.

Query your data warehouse in natural language

Marketing and sales teams generate vast amounts of data but using it often requires either technical skills or waiting for someone else to pull the numbers. With our new Snowflake and Databricks connectors, WRITER Agent can directly interact with your enterprise data warehouse through conversational queries.

Ask “What were our top-performing campaigns last quarter by conversion rate?” or “Show me accounts with high engagement but no recent purchases” and get structured data back. No SQL required. No switching platforms. Just natural language queries that turn your data into actionable reports, visualizations, and analysis.

Create secure connections to your unique systems

Every enterprise has proprietary tools, internal platforms, and specialized applications that are essential to how work gets done. With custom connectors, your technical teams can now make any internal system or preferred third-party application available to WRITER Agent.

Using OpenAPI specifications or a remote MCP server, your developers can create secure, governed connectors that business teams can then use through natural language. It’s the perfect division of labor: IT builds the secure infrastructure, business teams use it to create the workflows they need.

Streamline project management in Asana

For teams managing complex projects across multiple stakeholders, we’ve added a dedicated Asana connector. WRITER Agent can now execute sophisticated project management workflows through natural language, connecting project tracking to real work. Asana timelines, owners, and blockers inform drafting and analysis in WRITER, and outputs created in WRITER can update tasks, projects, and workflows back in Asana automatically.

WRITER also connects to Slack, HubSpot, Sharepoint, and your other tools‌ — ‌pulling insights across your entire stack for a more complete picture of project status.

Quality at scale: Voice tuning and transparent sources

Enhanced voice tuning for brand consistency

Maintaining consistent voice across different teams, channels, and content types is one of the biggest challenges in scaling content creation. Generic AI makes it worse. Outputs sound robotic or require extensive editing just to sound like your brand.

We’ve enhanced the Voice tuning experience to make it easier for brand admins to create — and for the rest of the team to apply your brand across everything WRITER Agent creates:

  • Test and refine: Test voice profiles across different content formats and edit before finalizing

Transparent citations in AI-generated deliverables

When agents pull information from multiple sources (research papers, internal documents, web searches), you need to know where that information came from. Now WRITER Agent provides transparent attribution for every claim and data point in agent-generated deliverables.

If you’re already a WRITER user, here are some ideas to get you started with these new features:

  1. Create a Playbook by talking to WRITER Agent: That regular task you’ve been meaning to automate but never had the time? Try turning it into a Playbook just like you’d ask an intern to do it. Head to Playbooks, hit the microphone button, and start describing what you want to accomplish.
  2. Organize your related sessions into a Project: Create a project, give it a name and icon, and add any files or instructions you’d like. Then drag any relevant sessions into the Project. Next time you need to do something for that workstream, start a new session from that Project – it’s already set up with all the context!
  3. Share with a coworker: Take that killer new Playbook or that Project you created, and share it with a coworker. Not only will they be able to benefit from what you built, but they might also be able to give you feedback on what to adjust in the next version – or ideas for your next Playbook.
