Building an agentic future of work

One of the most exciting things about generative AI is the sheer velocity of innovation. And with every breakthrough in architecture, with every step change in transformer functionality, Writer has been out front — relentlessly pushing the capabilities to make work more intelligent, more powerful, and more meaningful. It’s what I’m most proud of about this team. We transform at the speed of disruption.

And we’ve done it side-by-side with our customers, like Vanguard, Prudential, Uber, Intuit, Kenvue, and hundreds more. Our commitment — borderline obsession — to them gives us a lens no one else has. Every model, every feature, every bold bet has been purpose-built for the enterprise, each bringing us one step closer to our vision of a work reinvention that we so passionately believe in.

Today marks the next step toward that vision, the next stage in our evolution. Only this time, it’s our biggest, most ambitious leap yet.

We’re introducing AI HQ‌ — ‌our end-to-end platform for orchestrating agent-powered work in the enterprise. And with it, we’re giving enterprises what they need to fundamentally reinvent work, with intelligence embedded into the very foundation.

The future we’re building for

For decades, scaling in the enterprise meant stacking on more tools, more processes, and more people to hold it all together. And now, it’s all catching up. Organizations are more divided, more tense than ever before. You feel it in the endless catch up meetings, in the constant back-and-forth just to coordinate work, in the inefficiencies we’ve accepted for so long, because fixing them feels harder than dealing with them.

Over time, the tools meant to help us move faster have become the very thing slowing us down. It’s never been about a lack of creativity or ambition – it’s about the constraints of the systems we rely on.

But imagine a future where you can write the tools that do exactly what you need, rather than bending your workflows to fit the tools you have.

Where employees create new ways of working in real-time, simply by describing what they need.

Where work becomes something you design, not something you manage.

Where your results are distinct and impossible for competitors to replicate‌ — ‌because they reflect the unique way your business thinks, moves, and operates.

Where AI expands human capacity, and creativity, empowerment and meaning sit at the very heart of work.

That’s the future we’re building toward. And the future our customers are betting on.

But for most enterprises, there’s still a massive gap between AI’s potential and what they’ve actually been able to unlock. The breakthroughs aren’t breaking through, and despite all the real, genuine excitement, transformation still feels out of reach.

We’ve spent tens of thousands of hours side-by-side with our customers and we’ve seen up close where things are stalling. Business teams are spinning up mediocre agents on their own to bypass long IT queues. IT, already stretched thin, is managing 5x the demand with the same resources. Agents are being piled on top of outdated, fragmented workflows, leaving enterprises with a disconnected sprawl of agents that lack the context and reliability to drive any real impact.

AI isn’t like any tech shift we’ve seen before. It can’t be treated like software rollouts of the past, owned by one team. For agents to deliver on their promise, they need to be built into the very foundation, deeply embedded in the data, workflows, and the decisions that make the business run.

That kind of transformation requires an alignment between IT and the business that, frankly, has never existed before. Agents need deep system integrations and all the nuance and know-how of how work actually gets done. Without both, they won’t work. But until now, that level of collaboration hasn’t been possible.

That’s why we built AI HQ – one platform where IT and business can finally build agents, together. One platform where teams can completely reimagine how work gets done, with intelligence built in at the core. One that unlocks leaps and bounds in human capacity across the enterprise.

A unified platform to build‌ — ‌together, and at scale

AI HQ wasn’t born in a vacuum. In true Writer fashion, we got everyone — customers, execs, product, IT, business users — in a room and we mapped out what a shared environment could look like. One that’s deeply collaborative. One where anyone, on any team, can build and deploy agents that transform how they work.

That session became the foundation of our new Agent Builder. From there, we moved fast. We built a centralized hub to build and activate all these agents and a control center to give IT oversight to supervise them. We’ve got the models, the knowledge, the tools — and now it all comes together as an end-to-end platform, the “backbone” of enterprise AI operations.

We’re already seeing what happens when it’s in play. The agents we built alongside our beta customers are good. Really good. They’re running autonomous, non-linear workflows that span departments and teams at every level of the organization. We’re talking agents that can handle advanced data analysis, deep research, multilingual translation, and domain-specific knowledge all in one go, without skipping a beat:

  • Uber is transforming how it creates, manages, and delivers knowledge to its global support team of 40,000. They’re running multi-step agentic workflows that classify and assess the urgency of Jira and Slack requests, generate content, and publish updates instantaneously after human review.
  • Commvault, a leading cybersecurity platform, is transforming its RFP process with Writer. Writer agents are pulling RFP files from Salesforce, setting up Microsoft Teams channels, drafting initial responses, and sharing them with the account team for final review – in a matter of minutes.
  • Franklin Templeton, a leading asset management firm, is transforming client experiences with Writer. Advisors are using agents to instantly generate compliant market commentary, prepare daily briefings on top Salesforce accounts, and create charts that visualize key portfolio insights—all grounded in internal fund data from Snowflake, public SEC 10-K filings, and real-time web search.

But it’s not just what the agents can do. It’s what they’re allowing people to do. Agents are redefining our understanding of what’s possible, giving people the time and freedom to do more creative, impactful work. One of our incredible solution architects, Ugo, actually received an email with the exact words “this makes something so complex look so easy.”

When every team has easy-to-use tools and a shared environment to build with AI, work is reimagined. People stop spending their days coordinating and start focusing on more strategic, creative, and meaningful work. Roles evolve, for the better. New ones emerge altogether. And what was once impossible becomes possible.

The path forward

None of this works without a foundation built for the enterprise. One we’ve spent five years obsessively building. Through our state-of-the-art models and fully integrated Knowledge Graph, we’ve been able to capture enterprise intelligence in ways no one else has.

But in the not-so-distant future, where companies are deploying thousands of agents across every corner of the business, existing AI systems simply won’t keep up with that scale and ever-evolving intelligence. That’s why we’re already building what comes next on the path to superintelligence: self-evolving models. These models learn in real time, shaped by each company’s unique workflows, data, and decisions. They adapt. They remember. They co-evolve with the ever-changing landscape of your organization.

This isn’t just a technological leap, though we’re busting scaling limitations in the process. It’s a paradigm shift that will redefine how enterprises operate.

And the possibilities are enormous! In customer support, they’ll learn from every ticket, improving responses by the hour. In healthcare, they’ll retain and reference critical medical info across sessions, surfacing critical insights right when they’re needed. In finance, they can track live market trends, providing real-time insights that empower bankers and wealth managers to stay ahead.

Enterprise transformation, together

But even with the best technology, transformation at this scale won’t happen on its own. It takes more than a great product. It takes a partner who’s been in the trenches, who understands the realities of the enterprise and is as committed to success as they are to innovation. It takes a partner whose commitment to your success is what drives innovation.

At Writer, we come with a plan. We bring a proven customer success framework, a deeply experienced team, and hands-on support to help our customers drive their AI transformation. That means being on-site with them, rolling up our sleeves, and staying close throughout the process — from rollout, to change management, to team training, to scale across the organization. We work-side-by-side with teams not just to build these incredible agents, but to embed them into the fabric of the organization.

This is what AI should be like. And the future we’re building for — where agents are embedded into the very fabric of work — is starting to feel very, very close.

We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been building. Join us today for a live first look at our biggest evolution yet.
